31 May 2015 16:00 AIK v Helsingborg

Predictions

AIK have made a reasonable start to the season and they are coming off a 2-2 draw away at Djurgarden and AIK have now only won 1 of their last 5 League matches. Currently AIK sit in 6th place on 16 points and they are already 9 points behind leaders IFK Goteborg. AIK boast a very strong home record which reads W11, D2, L2

When hosting the top half sides of the Allsvenskan AIK boast a good record that reads W6, D3, L1 and AIK can be backed at around 1.65 and this looks to offer some value. This price can be enhanced by backing AIK on the -0.5/1.0 goal handicap at around 1.83.

The recent head-to-head record at the Friends Arena is dominated by the home side and reads AIK 4 wins, 0 Draws and Helsingborg 1 win. The draw can be backed at around 4.10 and this looks to offer some reasonable value.

Helsingborg are now managed by Celtic legend Henrik Larsson and they have also made a reasonable start to the season. However they have lost 4 of their last 6 matches. Currently Helsingborg sit in 8th place on 14 points which is 2 points behind today’s opponents and their recent away record reads W3, D5, L7.

When facing the top sides of the Allsvenskan Helsingborg’s record is poor and reads W1, D3, L6 and they can be backed at around 5.75. If you do fancy Helsingborg to do well here then you can keep an element of the 1 goal loss on your side and Helsingborg can be backed on the -0.5/1 goal handicap at around 2.10.

As far as goals are concerned then the stats suggest value in the over 2.5 goal line When looking at both sides last respective 10 respective home and away games against similar opposition we can see that in the 20 matches 3 or more goals were seen in 12 matches and 2 or less goals were seen in 8. There have also been 3 or more goals scored in 11 of AIK’s last 15 home matches. Over 2.5 goals can be backed at around 1.86.

This looks a very good match up and my ratings suggest that there is value in both the Match & Goal lines. When looking at the match line there looks value in backing AIK who only tend to drop points when facing teams placed in the top half of the table. Although they are deserved favourites they have not beaten Helsingborg by 2 clear goals in any of their last 4 victories. For my trade I am turning to the goa line where it should also be noted that 9 of the last 10 head-to-head league games at the Friends Arena have seen 3 or more goals and this looks to offer some decent value and so my recommended trade is over 2.5 goals at around 1.86.
