French Open 3rd Round Drop Shots

Others

The 2nd round of French Open is finished. The top players are warming up and the show is starting. Below I'll make some comments about matches that I think that deserve a look back and will pointing some potential underdogs and matches to watch on Round 3.

Nishikori def. Bellucci: 7-5 6-4 6-4

Bellucci shows one more time that he is in a greaf form. After his title last weet at Geneva, he made a nice French Open. Defeat Matosevic by 6-1 6-2 6-4 on the first round, but lost to Nishikori in straight sets. The defeat comes in straight sets, but he still playing a great tennis but just can't beat Nishikori, that is playing so well and is one of my bets to make semifinals this year.

Kokkinakis def. Tomic 3-6 3-6 6-3 6-4 8-6

On one of the thriller of 2nd Round, Kokkinakis takes the win on the australian's battle. The young man is playing so well and will faces Djokovic on the Round 3. So far, he beats Basilashvili and Tomic, besides the win on doubles with his partner Puille, against the great double Bupathi/Kyrgios.

Sock def. Carreno-Busta 6-7 7-6 6-1 7-6

Sock stills in great form. He won the Houston title earlier in this year clay season and make nice tournaments on the europeans clay ATPs. Now, at French Open, he is playing even better. Sweept Dimitrov on the Round 1 winning by 7-6 6-2 6-3 and make another great match to beat Carreno Busta by 6-7 7-6 6-1 7-6. Now he will face the young croatian Jack Sock, that is also making a great Slam. He beats Querrey and Robredo so far and makes this Sock-Coric match one to be watching.

Monfils def. Schwartzman 4/6 6/4 4/6 6/2 6/3

Monfils and 5-setter wins at Slams - A great love story. If has one that likes to make comeback at Slams, this one is Gael Monfils. When he plays at home isn't different. On the Round 2, he makes it again. After be trailing by 2 sets to 1 against the agertine Schwartzman, he puts the comeback on and wins the following sets easily to win the match. He will faces Cuevas on the Round 3. The uruguayan is in a great season and still playing well on Roland Garros. He beats Groth and Thiem - both on 4 sets - and is one of the potential upsets of the Round 3.

Big Four:

Djokovic, Murray, Nadal and Federer still dominating their games. Of the big four, only Murray loses a set - the second set of his won against João Sousa on the Round 2. Nadal swept Almagro and makes a great win to shows whos is the French Open's boss.

Potential Upsets:

I think that Cuevas can make a hard match against Monfils and even can beat the french.
Paire is playing well so far and swept Fognini with a 6-1 6-3 7-5 win on the Round 2. Playing against a Berdych that didn't play well yet, he can makes another great match and even defeat the #4 seed.
Yes, I know that Murray is in a great clay season, but Kyrgios is making great matches too. With a WO win against Edmund on Round 2, Kyrgios comes rested for the Round 3 match against Murray. Kyrgios has so much potential to makes an upset here.

Matches to watch:

Sock-Coric
Murray-Kyrgios
Cilic-Mayer
Monfils-Cuevas

Place your bets and enjoy!
