28 Nov 2015 19:30 Leicester v Man United
This Saturday afternoon table topping Leicester City host 2nd place Manchester United at Vicarage Road. Kick-Off 17:30 GMT.
Leicester City are having what can only be described as a phenomenal season. Under the stewardship of Claudio Ranieri, after 13 matches Leicester now top the table on 28 points, which is 1 point above today’s opposition. Leicester have now won 4 Premier league games on the bounce and have only tasted defeat once this season. Leicester’s recent home record reads a good looking W9, D2, L4.
When hosting the elite sides then Leicester’s home record reads W1, D1, L3 and here the Foxes can be backed at around 3.20. If you do fancy Ranieri’s side to do well here then you should certainly look to keep the draw on your side and Leicester can be backed on the Asian Handicap +0.0/0.5 goals at around 1.90.
The sides have met just once in the last 5 seasons at the King Power Stadium with Leicester running out 5-3 winners in a very entertaining match last season.
The draw can be backed at around 3.45 and this looks to offer some value.
Manchester United are also having an excellent season and they are coming off a 2-1 away victory at Watford. Manchester United are now unbeaten in 5 Premier League matches and their recent away record reads W7, D3, L5.
When facing teams of Leicester’s stature, United’s record reads a very mixed W4, D3, L3 and they can be backed at around 2.40.
As far as goals are concerned then we have some mixed stats. When looking at both sides last respective home (5 Leicester) and away (10 Manchester United) matches. Then in the 15 matches, 7 have seen 3 or more goals scored, and 8 games have seen 2 or less. Here my ratings suggest the smallest value in backing Under 2.5 goals at around 1.85.
This has the potential to be an excellent matchup between 2 in form sides. In the case of Leicester they also have the matter of striker Jamie Vardy, who can break the record he now shares with Ruud Van Nistlerooy by becoming the first player to score in 11 consecutive Premier League matches. Looking at the goal line there are just too many mixed stats to make a reasonable judgement. Although it should be noted that Leicester have now found the net in their last 12 home games.
For my trade I am turning to the match line where Leicester are in a strong run of form having only been beaten by Arsenal this season. Here they are coming up against a Manchester United side who have a mixed away record both generally and away at similar opposition. Although Leicester’s home record to the elite sides is very average, and their price has dropped considerably during the week, my ratings still suggest some value backing them to avoid defeat. The draw has to be given some serious consideration and my recommended trade is Leicester City +0.0/0.5 goals at around 1.90.
29 Nov 2015 14:00 Tottenham v Chelsea
This Sunday afternoon sees a big London derby, when Spurs host champions Chelsea at White Hart Lane. Kick-Off 12:00 GMT.
Spurs have made a very solid start to this campaign, and Mauricio Pochettino’s side are coming off an impressive 4-1 home victory over fellow Londoners West Ham. Since losing 0-1 away at Old Trafford on the first day of the season, Spurs have now gone 12 Premier League games undefeated and currently they sit in 5th place on 26 points. Spurs' recent home record reads a strong looking W9, D4, L2.
When hosting the Premier League elite, Spurs once again boast a reasonable record which reads W4, D2, L4. It should be noted that Spurs have only lost 1 of the last 5 of these matches. Spurs can be backed at around 2.50. However I would certainly look to keep the draw on your side and they are available to back on the +0.0 goal handicap at around 1.85.
The recent head-to-head record at White Hart Lane shows a draw bias and reads Spurs 1 win, 3 Draws and Chelsea 1 win.
The draw can be backed at around 3.55 and this offers some small value.
Chelsea recorded a much needed 1-0 victory over Norwich last weekend, and this was only their 2nd win in 7 Premier League matches. Jose Mourinho’s side are having a torrid time at the moment and currently they sit in 15th place on 12 points, which is 12 points behind a top 4 place. Despite this Chelsea’s recent away record reads a reasonable looking W7, D2, L6.
When visiting the 2nd tier sides Chelsea’s record is mixed and reads W3, D4, L3, and it should be noted that the blues have not won in their last 4 matches. Chelsea can be backed at around 3.00.
As far as goals are concerned then the stats point to overs. When looking at both sides' last 10 home and away matches to similar opposition. 12 of the 20 matches have seen 3 or more goals, whilst 8 have seen 2 or less. This season 5 of Chelsea’s 6 away games have seen 3 or more goals scored, and my ratings suggest value in Over 2.5 which can be backed at around 1.93.
This looks a superb match up, and the way the season has started you do get the impression that we could be about to see a shift of power between these 2 rivals. Here my ratings suggest value in both the match and goal lines. When looking at the goal line there is value in the overs, and this looks a solid selection given both sides recent form. For my trade I am turning to the match line where there looks some good value backing the home side. With Chelsea only winning 1 of their opening 6 away games, it is hard to make an argument for them taking the spoils here and there looks some decent risk v reward backing Spurs on the handicap. So my recommended trade is Spurs +0.0 goals at around 1.85.
29 Nov 2015 16:00 West Ham v West Brom
This Sunday afternoon sees a Premier League match when West Ham United host West Bromwich Albion at Upton Park. Kick-Off 14:05 GMT.
West Ham started the season in great fashion recording away wins at Arsenal, Liverpool & Manchester City. However here they are coming off a 1-4 defeat at Spurs and the Hammers have now taken just 1 point from their last 9. Currently West Ham sit in 6th place on 21 points and their recent home record reads W5, D5, L5.
When facing teams of West Brom’s stature, West Ham’s home record reads a reasonable looking W6, D2, L2 and they can be backed at around 2.05. It should be noted that West Ham have not won any of these last 3 matches.
The recent head-to-head record at Upton Park shows a large draw bias and reads West Ham 1 win, 3 Draws and West Brom 0 wins.
The draw can be backed at around 3.55 and offers some very good value considering the recent head-to-head matches.
West Brom are coming into this game after an excellent 2-1 home victory over Arsenal. West Brom’s form is very mixed at the moment having won 4 and lost 4 of their last 8 Premier League matches. West Brom currently sit in 12th place on 17 points and they are now 9 points clear of the drop Zone. The Baggies recent away record reads a reasonable looking W5, D5, L5.
When facing teams of West Ham’s stature, Tony Pulis' side again boast a reasonable record which reads W3, D3, L4 and they can be backed at around 4.20. If you do fancy them to do well then you can always keep the draw on your side and they can be backed +0.5 goals at around 1.93.
Looking at the goal line then the stats point to a low scoring game and when looking at both sides' last 10 home and away games against similar opposition then 3 or more goals have been seen in 7 matches and 2 or less goals have been seen in 13 matches. My ratings suggest value in Under 2.0/2.5 goals which can be backed at around 2.05.
This looks a good match up and my ratings are suggesting value in both the match and goal lines. When turning to the goal line, West Brom have kept 4 clean sheets in their opening 6 games this season. Indeed 11 of their last 15 away games, including all 6 this season have seen 2 or less goals scored, and Under 2.0/2.5 goals offers some decent value.
For my trade I am turning to the match line where there looks value siding with the visitors. When looking at West Ham’s home record. All 5 of their recent home victories have come against sides sitting in 12th or below. Here they are coming up against a resilient looking West Brom. The draw has to be given some serious consideration, and I will keep this on my side and my recommended trade is West Brom +0.5 goals at around 1.93.
29 Nov 2015 18:15 Norwich v Arsenal
This Sunday afternoon sees an entertaining looking fixture when promoted Norwich host Arsenal at Carrow Road. Kick-Off 16:15 GMT.
Norwich City have made a very average start to their Premier league campaign. Here they are coming off a 0-1 defeat away at Chelsea and currently after 13 matches Norwich sit in 16th place on 12 points, which is just 3 above the drop zone. Norwich have now won just 1 of their last 8 League matches and their recent home record reads W5, D4, L6.
When hosting the Premier League’s elite sides, Norwich’s record reads a poor looking W2, D1, L7 and they can be can be backed at around 5.70. If you do fancy the Canaries to do well here then your best option is certainly to keep the 1 goal loss on your side, and they can be backed +1 goal on the Asian handicap at around 1.90.
The recent head-to-head record at Carrow Road favours the visitors, and reads Norwich 1 wins, 0 Draws and Arsenal 2 wins.
The draw can be backed at around 4.40 and this looks to offer some decent value.
Arsenal threw away an excellent chance to top the table when going down 1-2 to West Brom at the Hawthorns last weekend. This was the Gunners 1st defeat in 7 Premier League matches and this loss left them sitting in 4th place on 26 points. Arsenal’s recent away record reads a solid looking W11, D1, L3.
When facing teams of Norwich’s grading Arsenal’s away record again reads a decent looking W8, D1, L1 and they can be backed at around 1.62. It should be noted that 5 of these 8 victories came by 2 or more goals.
When looking at the goal line then the stats point to unders. When looking at both sides' last 10 home and away games against similar opposition then in the 20 matches 6 have seen 4 or more goals, 4 have seen 3 goals and 10 have seen 2 or less goals scored. My ratings suggest some value in Under 3.0 goals which can be backed at around 1.87.
This looks a good match up and both sides will be desperate for the points for different reasons. When looking at the record when both sides face similar opposition then Arsenal look a decent shout. Indeed when visiting teams of Norwich’s stature Arsenal have won 16 of their last 20. However my ratings are suggesting the Gunners are priced a little low and the value is in the draw.
For my trade I am turning to the goal line where the value lies with the unders. Only 2 of Arsenal’s last 15 away games have seen 4 or more goals and their looks some decent risk v reward backing unders on the handicap and my recommended trade for this game is Under 3.0 goals at around 1.87.
