Champions League

Schneiderlin gives United fitness scare: Morgan Schneiderlin is a doubt for Manchester United's UEFA Champions League match against CSKA Moscow on Tuesday. Schneiderlin played the whole of United's 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace on Saturday but missed the squad's final training session before their meeting with CSKA at Old Trafford. Antonio Valencia and James Wilson, who were left out of the stalemate at Selhurst Park through injury, also missed the session. Phil Jones and Memphis Depay also missed the Palace match. They trained separately from the rest of the squad.

David Silva misses training: Manchester City midfielder David Silva is doubtful for the UEFA Champions League game at Sevilla after missing training on Monday. The Spaniard has been struggling with an ankle problem that has kept him out of City's last five matches and a late decision would be made regarding the midfielder's availability for Tuesday's match. Fabian Delph and Gael Clichy did take part in the session following respective hamstring and ankle problems.

Spain - Primera Division

Messi to miss El Clasico: Lionel Messi will not be fit to face Real Madrid on November 21 at the Santiago Bernabeu, according to Spanish media reports. The star forward has been sidelined with a knee problem since the end of September, missing Barcelona's last seven games. Since Messi has yet to start running, it seems likely that he will be out for another four weeks due to the knee ligament injury. In his absence, both Luis Suarez and Neymar have stepped up to the plate. The last 14 Barcelona La Liga goals have been scored by the Uruguayan and Brazilian, seven each.

England - Premier League

Koeman optimistic on quick Fonte recovery: Southampton captain Jose Fonte was taken off at half-time in Sunday's 2-0 Premier League win over Bournemouth as a precaution after he sustained a hamstring injury. Fonte has been an integral part of the Saints defence that has kept four clean sheets in the league this season and manager Ronald Koeman hopes the Portugal international will be back in contention for Saturday's trip to Sunderland.

Italy - Serie A

Totti set to miss Rome derby: Roma captain Francesco Totti will reportedly not recover from injury in time to face Lazio in Sunday's Rome derby. The 39-year-old has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since the end of September but there were hopes he would be back in time. Italian media said Totti doesn't want to force his recovery and will continue to train in the gym and swimming pool.
