England - Premier League

Darmian suspended: Right-back Matteo Darmian is now suspended for Manchester United's next Premier League game at home to West Brom. The Italian picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in United's goalless draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. The suspension gives manager Louis van Gaal some trouble with availability at right-back lacking currently. Darmian's main competition for place Antonio Valencia is out injured following a foot problem acquired in the Manchester derby.

Italy - Serie A

Khedira to miss next two matches: Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira's injury that he sustained against Torino will likely only see him miss their next two matches. The German limped out of the match after 11 minutes with a calf problem. Khedira's injury will see him sidelined for the Champions League trip to Borussia Monchengladbach in midweek and he will also be forced to sit out their next Serie A match against Empoli. However, given the injury problems he has suffered from since arriving at the club, Massimiliano Allegri will likely be breathing a big sigh of relief that it won't keep the 28-year-old out for an extended period of time.

Cissokho rushed to hospital: Genoa defender Issa Cissokho was taken to hospital after Serie A match against Napoli on Sunday after suffering an apparent allergic reaction. The 30-year-old played his part to help his side pick up a point after coming on with 18 minutes to go, replacing Tomas Rincon. After the game, while the players were in the dressing room, Cissokho complained of feeling unwell, citing stomach problems as being the reason for his disomfort, having suddenly felt dizzy and weak. Upon being assessed by the club's medical staff, the Frenchman was immediately taken to the city's hospital where he will undergo further tests.

Alex suffers head trauma: Milan defender Alex was taken from the field on a stretcher during Sunday's 3-1 Serie A win at Stadio Olimpico after he was knocked unconscious in a collision with the knee of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. However, coach Mihajlovic provided a positive update on the defender and says he will stay in hospital as a precautionary measure. "He got a knock to the head and was diagnosed with head trauma," Mihajlovic said. "He went for the tests and they were all clear. He has to remain in hospital overnight for observation."

Champions League

Paris SG without Pastore and Marquinhos: Paris Saint-Germain have been dealt a double injury blow after Javier Pastore and Marquinhos were ruled out of Tuesday's Champions League clash with Real Madrid. The midfielder is suffering from conjunctivitis, while the defender has failed to recover from a thigh problem, meaning the pair have been left out of the club's 21-man squad. One positive for PSG boss Laurent Blanc is the return to fitness of David Luiz, who is fully fit following a lay-off with a knee injury.

Gameiro out with hamstring strain: Sevilla striker Kevin Gameiro will miss Champions League Group D meeting with Manchester City on Tuesday due to a hamstring injury. Gameiro sustained hamstring strain during the closing stages of Saturday's 2-1 Liga defeat at Villarreal. A statement on Sevilla's official website confirmed the nature of the 28-year-old forward's injury, ruling him out of the City match but not next weekend's clash with Real Madrid.
