Kolo Toure sidelined for up to a month: Kolo Toure limped out of Liverpool's League Cup tie against Bournemouth at Anfield on Wednesday night after half an hour, suffering from a hamstring strain. Captaining the side in the absence of Jordan Henderson (injured) and James Milner (suspended), it was the 34-year-old's third start of the season. Toure is now expected to miss between two and four weeks with the hamstring injury.
Colback undergoes second scan: Newcastle will discover how long Jack Colback will be out for with the midfielder set for a second exploratory knee scan on Thursday. The 26-year-old was substituted after 49 minutes of the 3-0 defeat at Sunderland on Sunday following a heavy challenge with Lee Cattermole. Colback left the Stadium of Light on crutches and with a knee brace, and underwent an initial scan earlier this week that has left the club fearing he may be out for some time.

Douglas faces up to 2 months out: Barcelona right-back Douglas suffered the setback during the 0-0 Copa del Rey draw with Villanovense on Wednesday, in what was his first start for the club since he suffered a hamstring injury in pre-season. The Brazilian was found to have fractured the scaphoid bone in his foot and looks set to miss much of November and December. Alongside Douglas, coach Luis Enrique is already without Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, Rafinha and Sergi Roberto due to injuries, with Javier Mascherano handed a two-game suspension on Wednesday.
