Competition: MLS
Game: Toronto VS Columbus
Date: 17/10/2015 @ 7.30pm
This is clearly not a game from a league that would interest most of us, but I have considered it as a Match of the Day option due to its impressive statistics on the basis of the number of goals that both of these teams have scored and conceded so far in the league.
TORONTO
With 2 games to go before the end of the season, Toronto has consolidated its presence into the play-off stage of the league as one of the Eastern Conference teams. It is coming from 4 consecutive wins in its last 4 games, all of which have been played at home.
However, what is really impressive is that it has had 16 over 2.5 goals outcomes in its last 17 games, 13 of which have ended as goal/goal and 11 of which have ended as over 2.5 goals games.
COLUMBUS
With 2 games to go before the end of the season, Columbus hasn’t yet entirely confirmed its presence into the play off stage of the league through the same Conference division. It is coming from 2 consecutive defeats with the same score (2-1) but it should be noted that it has managed 4 wins in its last 5 away games, all of which have been with the same score (1-2)!
Similar to Toronto’s goal-related statistics, Columbus also has an impressive 16 over 2.5 goals outcomes in its last 17 games, 14 of which ended as goal/goal and 11 over goals outcomes in its last 13 away games.
Prediction
It all comes down to the numbers and based on them;
Goal/goal & over 2.5 goals, odd: 1.83 @
