West Brom Vs Everton

Predictions

This Monday evening sees a Premier League fixture when West Bromwich Albion host Everton at the Hawthorns. Kick off 20:00 BST.

West Brom have started the season in reasonable fashion. After beating local rivals Aston Villa 1-0 last weekend, the Baggies have now lost only 1 of their last 5 league matches, and currently they sit in 10th place on 8 points. West Brom’s recent home record reads a very mixed W6, D2, L7.

When playing teams of Everton’s grading, Tony Pulis sides record reads a very resilient looking W4, D3, L3 and West Brom can be backed at around 3.15 and this looks to offer some small value.

The recent head-to-head record at the Hawthorns is very mixed reads West Brom 2 wins, 1 Draw and Everton 2 wins.

If you do fancy West Brom to do well here, then you are probably best keeping the draw  on your side and they can be backed on the Asian handicap +0.0/0.5 goals at around 1.86.

The draw can be backed at around 3.30 and although this should certainly not be discounted it does look priced a little low according to my ratings.

Everton have started this season looking a much improved outfit to that of the last campaign. Roberto Martinez side are coming off a 0-0 draw away at Swansea, and they have only tasted defeat once this season and that was a 0-2 defeat at home to table toppers Manchester City. Everton’s recent away record reads W4, D3, L8.

When facing the lower table sides, Everton boast a very solid record that reads W6, D3, L1 and the Toffee’s can be backed at around 2.50.

As far as goals are concerned then there looks to be a leaning to Unders. When looking at both sides' last 10 home and away games against similar opposition in the 20 matches 3 or more goals were seen in 4 matches, 2 goals were seen in 7 matches and 1 or less goals were seen in 9. Also all 5 of the recent head-to-head matches have seen 2 or less goals. Under 2.0/2.5 goals offers some value and can be backed at around 1.95.

This looks a very good match up and here my ratings suggest value in both the match and goal lines. Here the value is with the home side. However, although Everton have only won 4 of their last 15 away games, they have only lost 1 of their last 10 away to sides of a similar grading. For my trade I am going to turn to the goal line. Everton are yet to concede a goal away from home and West Brom have kept 6 clean sheets in their last 12 home games. When facing similar opposition only 4 of the 20 matches have seen 3 or more goals and so my recommended trade for this match is Under 2.0/2.5 goals at around 1.95.
