Arsenal to be without 8 injured players: Arsene Wenger admits Arsenal are likely to be missing eight players for their crunch Champions League clash. The Gunners host Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday, needing victory to keep alive their qualification hopes. Midfielders Francis Coquelin and Mikel Arteta are both set to be unavailable after hobbling off in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at West Brom. Coquelin left The Hawthorns on crutches and is sweating on results of a knee scan amid fears he could be out up to three months, while Arteta injured a calf.
Wenger revealed both Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are unlikely to be fit in time to return from their knocks. In addition to that quartet, Arsenal are also without Walcott, Welbeck, Wilshere and Rosicky.
Khedira, Evra doubtful for City clash: Sami Khedira and Patrice Evra both look set to miss Juventus' UEFA Champions League clash with Manchester City on Wednesday. Khedira, 28, missed Saturday's 1-0 Serie A win over Milan with a muscle injury he picked up while on international duty with Germany. Evra, 34, suffered a light twisted ankle during the Milan match and his condition will be monitored over the course of the coming days.
Van Gaal expects Martial and Rooney to be fit for PSV: Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal expects Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney to be fit for the PSV game. Martial missed the game against Watford at the weekend with a foot injury, while Rooney was absent due to illness, but both could well feature in Wednesday's crucial Champions League group game.
Di Maria back, Pastore and Lavezzi still out: Angel Di Maria is back in the Paris Saint-Germain squad for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Malmo, but Javier Pastore and Ezequiel Lavezzi are still out. Di Maria missed Saturday's 2-1 win Ligue 1 over Lorient because of a calf injury, but could feature as PSG aim to seal qualification for the last 16. However, fellow Argentina internationals Lavezzi and Pastore remain on the sidelines. Lavezzi has a knee injury while Pastore has not played since October 21 because of conjunctivitis and a calf problem.
Marco Verratti (ankle) had already been ruled out by coach Laurent Blanc and David Luiz is suspended. Defender Serge Aurier (quadriceps) is also missing from the squad.
France
Kyei sidelined for 2 months: Stade de Reims striker Grejohn Kyei is facing two months in the treatment room after suffering a training ground injury. The 20-year-old Ghanaian sprained his right ankle last week and the doctors expect him to be out of action for eight weeks. Kyei has been plastered and looks like he might not play against for the Ligue 1 side before the winter break.
England
Coutinho diagnosed with minor hamstring injury: Philippe Coutinho has been diagnosed with a minor hamstring strain following a scan on the injury he suffered in Liverpool's 4-1 demolition of Manchester City. Reds medical staff opted to give it 48 hours to settle down in the hope that it was just cramp but the decision was taken to send Coutinho to be scanned on Monday evening. The results show that the damage is only minor. The 23-year-old is highly unlikely to feature in Thursday night's Europa League clash with Bordeaux at Anfield, but Liverpool believe he has an outside chance of being fit for the visit of Swansea City in the Premier League on Sunday.
Coquelin sidelined for 2 months: Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin will be out for at least two months after suffering a knee ligament injury. Coquelin, 24, was injured during his side's 2-1 defeat by West Brom at The Hawthorns on Saturday. Arsenal are also without midfielders Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mikel Arteta and Jack Wilshere, as well as forwards Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck.
Cheick Tiote suffers groin injury: Newcastle United fear that Cheick Tiote is facing weeks on the sidelines, leaving manager Steve McClaren with a midfield crisis. Tiote was forced off early in Saturday's 3-0 home defeat to Leicester City due to a groin injury. With Jack Colback already sidelined and not expected back for at least a couple of weeks, McClaren was forced to reshuffle his midfield and bring Georginio Wijnaldum into the centre, though the Dutchman did not look comfortable there.

Marcelo suffers thigh injury: Real Madrid's woes deepened on Monday when tests confirmed defender Marcelo damaged a thigh muscle in Saturday's 4-0 defeat by Barcelona in the Clasico. The Brazilian international had to come off in the 59th minute of the humiliating reverse at the Bernabeu. Real did not say how long Marcelo might be sidelined but local media reported he would be out for two or three weeks. Real Madrid captain and centre back Sergio Ramos has also not been included in the squad for the trip to play Shakhtar Donetsk in Champions League on Wednesday.

Hernanes out for 3 weeks: Juventus midfielder Hernanes will be out of action for three weeks because of a thigh injury. The Brazil international was forced off at half-time in Saturday's 1-0 Serie A win over Milan. Hernanes miss league games with Palermo, Lazio and Fiorentina and the Champions League games with Manchester City and Sevilla. He could return in the last game before the mid-season break, which is away to Carpi.
