Manuel Lanzini got a late consolation for the visitors who had been level on points with Spurs at the beginning of the game.
It left Kane hailing an excellent display by Mauricio Pochettino's team.
He told Sky Sports: "That was probably the best performance we have had this season. The whole week training has been incredible and we just tried to put that out on the pitch. We came out of the traps flying.
"As a striker when your confidence is high you feel like you're going to score every game. Today I could have had a couple more, but the most important thing is we're winning by playing well."
Spurs are 6/4 to finish in the top four at the end of the season.
Kane opened the scoring on 23 minutes when Dele Alli's shot was blocked and his England team-mate fired home from close range.
Ten minutes later Spurs made it two with Alderweireld taking advantage of slack marking to head in from a corner.
Spurs made the game safe five minutes after the restart, Kane getting his second of the game with West Ham again guilty of poor defending.
Walker scored a fourth for Spurs with less than 10 minutes remaining in a good move involving Eriksen and Son Heung-min.
