Meyler out of play-off: David Meyler is out of Ireland's play-off encounters with Bosnia-Herzegovina and could miss up to two months after sustaining a knee injury in training on Wednesday. The 26-year-old has suffered a tear to his medial ligament after colliding with Stoke defender Marc Wilson during a training session ahead of the first leg of the Euro 2016 play-off in Zenica on Friday night.

Aubameyang sidelined with knee injury: Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang missed Gabon's World Cup qualifier against Mozambique after suffering bone bruising in his knee. Initial reports suggested that the 26-year-old's absence from Wednesday's match was a result of a muscular injury. But Dortmund posted on their official Twitter page that Aubameyang was missing "due to a bone bruise in his knee", adding that the player did not have an ankle problem.
