Aston Villa – Manchester City: Remi Garde has taken over as Aston Villa’s head coach, who is going to make a debut in front of the team’s fans at home after the 3-1 away defeat from Tottenham last week. Aston Villa is going through the worst start into a new season in its history, since it managed a win in its first game in the new season and then went on with 1 draw and 9 defeats in 10 games and is also coming from 7 consecutive defeats. City is coming from a great away win against Seville in the middle of the week for the Champions League competition. It currently holds the top of the table, it has the best attacking record in the league but it also concedes goals in almost all of its games.
Liverpool – Crystal Palace: Liverpool does get better and better under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp; it has managed an awesome 1-3 away win against Chelsea in its last game in the league and a 0-1 away win against Rubin in the middle of the week for the Europa League competition. Crystal Palace hasn’t managed a win in all competitions for a month but in general its away record is very decent evident from the fact that it has had 3 wins and 2 defeats (from Leicester and Tottenham) in 5 away games in the league this season.
Arsenal – Tottenham: Arsenal has suffered one of the heaviest defeats in its history in the middle of the week from Bayern with 5-1 in Germany for the Champions League competition. Domestically though it is doing very well, since it shares the top of the table with Manchester City as a result of managing 5 wins in its last 5 games. Tottenham has only been beaten once in the league this season, in its first game and since then it has had 5 wins and 5 draws in 10 games. It has beaten Anderlecht with 2-1 in the middle of the week for the Europa League competition, showing that it does have an eye in doing well in it this year.
