This is the last day of the season for the Allsvenskan division and statistically-wise, 3 teams have their own chances of winning the league; Norrkoping currently holds the top spot with 63 points and plays away from home against Malmo which has been last year’s champions but has nothing to aim for from this game, apart from its own pride.
Goteborg holds the 2nd position of the table with 62 points and plays at home against Kalmar which is sitting at the lower end of the table but its 5-point distance from Falkenberg and the play-out position, already confirms the team’s presence in the division for the following season. AIK is the 3rd team and plays away from home against Orebro, which is sitting around the middle of the table with no real interest in the game.
It is worth noting that the last time that Norrkoping has been crowned the champions in Allsvenskan, was 26 years ago with the last game of the season being again against Malmo away from home!
