Others

Arsenal

Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky and Danny Welbeck will not play again this year, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed. Just last week Wenger said Wilshere is still at least one month away from returning to action and that return date has now been extended. The English midfielder suffered a hairline fracture to his ankle before the start of the season and is yet to feature for the Gunners in this campaign. Welbeck is also a long-term absentee after he suffered a knee injury at the end of last season and he will not see the field at least until 2016 along with Czech midfielder Rosicky who also has a knee problem.

Man. City

Manchester City have more injury worries for the upcoming derby against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday. Skipper Vincent Kompany returned to action in the midweek UEFA Champions League clash against Sevilla, but is doubtful fot the EPL clash on Sunday. City already are without two of their star player Sergio Aguero and David Silva for a month. In their absence Raheem Sterling and Wilfried Bony need to step up when they face Louis van Gaal's side this weekend.

Sunderland

Fabio Borini is a doubt for Sunday's Wear-Tyne derby at the Stadium of Light. The Italy forward will have a fitness test on Saturday to assess a knock picked up against West Brom, with manager Sam Allardyce revealing that the striker hasn't trained with the first team since last weekend's defeat. However, Allardyce has confirmed that Ola Toivonen is available after the Swedish international missed the Baggies loss with a minor groin problem. Jeremain Lens and Sebastian Coates are also back in contention after serving one-match suspensions.

Liverpool

Daniel Sturridge is doubtful for Liverpool's game against Southampton and will have a knee scan. The England striker missed Jurgen Klopp's first two games in charge of the club, suffering the injury ahead of the trip to Tottenham last weekend. The problem also ensured Sturridge, who was absent at the start of the season when recovering from a hip injury, sat out of the UEFA Europa League draw with Rubin Kazan on Thursday.
