Spain midfielder David Silva suffered a sprained ankle during their 4-0 win over Luxembourg and will miss Monday's clash with Ukraine. The Manchester City star was scythed down by Lars Krogh Gerson in the early stages of the match, and immediately signalled for the physio, before limping off. Spanish news outlet AS is reporting that Silva could face 2-3 weeks on the sidelines.
Striker Alvaro Morata was also forced to withdraw from the game after sustaining an injury to his right leg jumping for a header. The Juventus man will also miss the clash with Ukraine and is set to undergo further tests to determine the extent of the injury.
