Sturridge declares himself fit: Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has declared himself fit ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash against former club Manchester City. The injury-prone England international missed the start of the season after returning from hip surgery and has made just three appearances this campaign. Sturridge's return will come as welcome news for Klopp, whose first days at Anfield were marked by one setback after another.

Rodriquez may need surgery: Southampton forward Jay Rodriguez may require surgery to correct an ankle injury, manager Ronald Koeman has confirmed. The England international, who missed the entirety of last season due to a knee problem, last played in the 2-2 draw with Leicester City on October 17. "Jay is not good, it's now a long time and we have to make now a really tough decision how we have to do the treatment," Koeman said. "Maybe it will be a surgery next week. His foot is still a problem, it gives a lot of pain. We did everything and now, the final call, maybe it will be surgery next week."

Koscielny in doubt: Centre-back Laurent Koscielny has been deeply affected by the Paris terror attacks and may be rested for Arsenal's visit to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, manager Arsene Wenger has revealed. "He had a fantastic game against Germany. You could see that on Tuesday night he was not himself," Wenger said. "It affected him deeply and I didn't recognise the player I saw on Friday night on Tuesday night. I will talk with him. What I will want from him is that he's completely committed and feels ready. If not, I will not play him."

Italy

Gervinho out for 3 weeks: Roma forward Gervinho will be sidelined for up to three weeks due to a thigh strain. The Ivory Coast international was forced off after 72 minutes of his country's World Cup qualifying win over Liberia on Tuesday and underwent further tests in the Italian capital. The club have since announced that the injury is likely to keep him out of action for three weeks, meaning he will miss the crucial Champions League clash with Barcelona on November 24 and is a doubt for the final group-stage game with BATE on December 9.

Spain

Navas expected to start against Barcelona: Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas has fully recovered from a groin injury and looks set to play in his first El Clasico. The Costa Rica international has been out of action for two weeks, with Real suffering their first defeat of the season against Sevilla in his absence. A statement on the club's official website said Navas came through a full training session unscathed on 18 November. Meanwhile Karim Benzema, who has been nursing a hamstring problem, is back to fitness and is likely to play his first match in nearly two months against Barcelona. Spanish defender Sergio Ramos is carrying a shoulder niggle but should also be fine to play.

Bale is feeling strong and fit: Real Madrid have been handed a massive boost against Barcelona after forward Gareth Bale declared himself fit for the El Clasico. Bale struggled with a calf problem at the start of the season, which kept him out for a month. The recurrence of the injury in October saw him spend time on the sidelines. Bale was not expected to feature against the Catalan club. However, the Wales international claims he is "feeling strong and fit," which will be a massive boost for Rafael Benitez.
